Geely's new diversified energy-efficient strategy, "Geely Intelligent Power," envisions development in the most technologically advanced directions and achieving leadership in new energy, alternative fuels, fuel cells, electric, and hybrid technologies.

The Bo Rui GE model is the first model under the new strategy to implement hybrid technologies. The 132-kilowatt 1.5TD (Turbocharged Direct Injection) gasoline engine delivers a maximum torque of 265 Nm. The 48-volt BSG MHEV system provides an additional 10 kilowatts of power and 35 Nm of torque. In total, the powertrain delivers 142 kilowatts of power and 300 Nm of maximum torque, equivalent to the characteristics of a modern two-liter turbocharged internal combustion engine. The MHEV system accelerates response to 0.3 seconds compared to the 1.0 second required by traditional internal combustion engines. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.9 seconds.

The Bo Rui GE version with a PHEV setup has the same gasoline 1.5TD engine, with a power of 192 kilowatts and 425 Nm of torque, and an 11.3 kW lithium battery that allows covering a distance of 60 km on electric power alone. According to the manufacturer, in eco-cruise mode, the Bo Rui GE consumes an average of only 1.6 l/100 km. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and a full charge will take 1.5 hours using smart efficiency-enhancing technologies.

All modifications of the Bo Rui GE are equipped with a 7-speed robotic transmission 7DCTH, developed jointly by Geely and Volvo. The 7DCTH transmission is specially designed for hybrid powertrains and has an efficiency coefficient of 97%, which is completely unattainable for traditional internal combustion engine transmissions. It improves fuel economy by up to 42.4% and increases power by 24%.

The title of smart hybrid for the Bo Rui GE is confirmed by the implementation of smart technologies in this model that enhance energy efficiency. Analyzing navigation data, the car automatically selects the most efficient driving mode in any weather conditions. In traffic jams, it switches to exclusively electric motor operation, on highways it switches to eco-cruise mode, and when the battery charge is close to zero, it uses the engine, as well as the regenerative braking system to recharge it. In regions with high electricity tariffs, the car can be set to recharge during low-tariff hours using a mobile application.

The Bo Rui GE model is one of the first production cars in China equipped with Level 2 autonomous driving technology. These include technologies such as Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Parking Assistant (APA), and others.

The factory has not yet announced plans for exporting this model. In Ukraine, one of the brand's most successful models is currently presented – Geely Emgrand 7.
