The design has become bolder, the silhouette more dynamic. The model received a new logo, unified for the entire Geely brand on global markets.
The exterior of the Geely Emgrand 7 FL has become more expressive, the silhouette has acquired sharp, predatory shapes. In the front part, changes affected the bumper, headlights, radiator grille, and daytime running lights. The updated headlights retained their previous contours but completely changed their filling - the headlights and daytime running lights are made using LED elements. The new bumper and radiator grille add a share of aggressiveness and swiftness to the appearance. The rear part has also noticeably changed. The wide combined taillights have become sharper, acquired a more complex design, emphasizing the lines of the car's silhouette, which is now perceived as more assembled and dynamic.
The interior design has become more modern, the materials have acquired texture and nobility, while the car has retained its interior spaciousness thanks to its solid dimensions: length 4631 mm, width 1789 mm, height 1470 mm. The cabin has received many new ergonomic solutions: an updated instrument cluster with an enlarged onboard computer display, a multifunctional steering wheel, completely redesigned door cards with convenient handles. There were also aesthetic additions - neat chrome trims on the air vents and a silver "belt" dividing the dashboard into two parts. When developing this model, Geely decided to completely abandon the traditional ignition key, equipping the car even in the base version with a keyless entry system with an engine start button.
As in the previous generation, the designers paid great attention to passive and active safety systems. The model in the base version is equipped with airbags. Active safety systems include: ABS + EBD (electronic brake-force distribution system) and an electronic stability control system (ESC). The previously existing tire pressure monitoring system has been supplemented with a brake pad wear monitoring system.
The new generation of the model is equipped with a proven, reliable, economical naturally aspirated CVVT engine with a volume of 1.5 liters and a power of 106 hp, which works in conjunction with a five-speed manual transmission. All power units installed on the new Geely Emgrand 7 FL comply with the Euro-5 environmental standard.
Sales start in Ukraine is scheduled for mid-November.
