The new product is a restyled version of the new-generation Volkswagen Crafter, which debuted at the end of July. The MAN van differs from the Crafter only by the emblem on the radiator grille and the steering wheel. In addition, the restyled van received a modified radiator grille. Inside, the new MAN also completely repeats the VW Crafter.

The MAN TGE will be available with a choice of two wheelbase options, as well as in three versions with different lengths (from 5983 to 7388 millimeters), heights, body types, and gross weights (from 3 to 5.5 tons). The engine range will include two-liter diesel engines with power from 102 to 177 horsepower. The gearbox is a six-speed manual. An eight-speed automatic will be offered for an additional fee.

Production of the MAN TGE will begin in April 2017. The new product will go on sale in the fall of the same year.
