Engineers installed a new air filter and an improved recirculation air valve. Thanks to this, the unit's power increased to 375 hp and 510 Nm of torque. With such an engine, the new product accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 266 km per hour. The standard version of the Ford Focus RS is equipped with a 2.3-liter engine with an output of 350 horsepower.
You can install the update program at any Ford dealer that cooperates with Mountune. The software update will take about 90 minutes. At the same time, the official Ford warranty will continue to be valid.

Earlier it was reported that Ford is developing an ultra-powerful version of the Focus. The car has already been spotted during test runs on the Nürburgring track. The production version of the car may be called RS500 and will be presented in the first half of 2017.
The model will receive a large rear wing. The body elements of the car will be made of carbon. The new product will receive hydrocarbon brakes and an aluminum suspension. Thanks to this, the weight of the car can be reduced by 100 kilograms. In addition, the hatchback will be equipped with a self-locking front differential. Technical characteristics are still kept secret.
Judging by spy photos, the Ford will receive a large rear wing. The body elements of the car will be made of carbon. The new product will receive hydrocarbon brakes and an aluminum suspension. Thanks to this, the weight of the model can be reduced by 100 kilograms.

Serial production of the Focus RS started in January 2016. The new product was equipped with a flexible all-wheel drive system that can transfer up to 70% of the torque to the rear wheels. If desired, however, on the RS you can also go through corners in a controlled drift. According to representatives of the brand, this became possible thanks to a special package of settings.
In total, the new product has four driving modes: Normal, Sport, Track, and also Drift. In drift mode, a special calibration of the all-wheel drive system is activated, which regulates the distribution of torque and facilitates entering a controlled drift. Such a package of settings is the first among all production hot hatches. Among other technical changes are stiffer springs and shock absorbers, a different exhaust system and a short steering rack.
