Yes, according to BMW Blog, in the first quarter of this year, 5,128 electric cars i3 and hybrids i8 were sold worldwide, which is almost a quarter worse than last year's figures for the same period.
The German brand plans to improve sales by updating the i3 hatchback and expanding the model range of so-called eco-cars. Among the key goals is also increasing the driving range on a single charge.

Recall that today the BMW i3 is equipped with a 170-horsepower electric motor, the model's range is 160 kilometers. In turn, the hybrid sports car BMW i8 has a gasoline-electric power unit with a total output of 362 hp. The hybrid coupe accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.4 seconds.
Despite the decline in purchasing power and the crisis, more and more BMW i-mobiles are appearing on the roads of Ukraine. Thus, hybrid sports coupes i8 are found in Odessa, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and other major cities. The number of i3 electric vehicles is also growing.
