The Scion brand was created in 2002. Under this brand, Toyota produced cars aimed at young people. These were mostly inexpensive models that stood out with a bolder and more stylish design compared to Toyota's main vehicles.
Currently, the Scion lineup includes five cars – the iA (Toyota Yaris) and iM (Toyota Auris) hatchbacks, the xB compact van (Toyota bB), as well as the tC and FR-S coupes (Toyota GT86).

The most successful year for Scion is considered to be 2006, when 175 thousand cars were sold. But recently, demand has fallen so much that the Japanese deemed it impractical to keep another brand. Thus, last year the Japanese company sold 56 thousand Scion cars.
