Many tourists from all over the world come to China to visit the Shanghai Auto Museum. Recently, our colleague, a representative from Ukraine of the publication AUTO-Consulting, was also here.

The Chinese spared no expense on the construction of the museum and the selection of the collection. Officially, 400 million yuan was spent only on the construction of the building and the creation of infrastructure.

The cost of the cars presented in the collection is modestly kept silent. And the list of rarities includes several Rolls-Royce, luxurious "Americans" of the 60s, and some of the first cars ever produced. And the collection of MG models of different years of production may well be envied by many museums in the world.

The Shanghai Auto Museum is the first in China, and it was built according to a German design. It was opened back in 2007. The museum area is 28,000 square meters, and the exhibition itself is just over 10,000 square meters.

The architecture of the building is interesting. Its forms symbolize a car in motion, but if you look closely, you can see the outlines of books lying on top of each other. This symbolizes the thirst for knowledge. There are, however, some drawbacks. For example, errors in texts written in Latin script and the lack of information about some cars. However, this can be overlooked. In this case, the museum organizers simply wanted to show a beautiful car...

The museum can be conditionally divided into three parts of the pavilion. Each of them has its own focus: historical, collection, and research. But this division is very conditional. The pavilions are located in one building. On the ramps between floors, there are also many interesting cars placed.

Many cars in the collection of the Shanghai Auto Museum are iconic and rare. They can even be called symbols of their era. Museum visitors come to Shanghai from all over the world. Because some examples of automotive technology can only be seen here.
