Honda has reported that 175 thousand vehicles are subject to the recall. This applies to the Fit models and the new compact crossover Vezel with hybrid powertrains.

The cause is an error in the control unit software that can lead to uncontrolled acceleration. Over the past few months, 11 such incidents have been recorded, fortunately without any injuries.

The company has promised that fixing the malfunction will take about an hour and a half at a service center.
