The leader of Avtomaydan, Serhiy Khadzhynov, justifies his demand by the fact that the State Automobile Inspectorate is thoroughly riddled with corruption, and extorting money from drivers has become its main task. In addition, until recently, the SAI acted as one of the main tools of the authorities in the fight against Avtomaydan.
Columns of activists were blocked without legal grounds, protocols were falsified, and data on Avtomaydan participants was collected. This data later fell into the hands of those who ordered mass arsons, and many activists and ordinary drivers lost their vehicles.
Thus: "The SAI has long been a danger factor for road users and has all the signs of an organized criminal group" - Serhiy Khadzhynov summarizes his appeal to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, demanding the dissolution of the State Automobile Inspectorate.
