Let us remind you that the running prototype of this Russian marvel of engineering was presented in the summer of 2013. The concept of the "Yo-mobile" raised many questions among specialists, as it tried to combine new technologies with parts from already outdated cars. And the most interesting element of the design was the know-how using certain "supercapacitors" instead of the usual batteries for a hybrid.
It would seem that the launch into mass production was about to happen, but, as it became known quite recently, the project of the Russian hybrid may be closed. The reason turned out to be indecently simple: the finished product turns out to be too expensive, while in terms of quality, the "Yo-mobile" can compete only with Chinese hybrids, and not all of them.
Today, the main task of the owner of the enterprise, Mikhail Prokhorov, remains the question: how to get out of this situation with dignity, keeping the face of a serious businessman. And yet, quite recently, Prokhorov was ready to take on the development of a limousine project for Putin.
