It is worth noting that from January 1, 2014, a requirement comes into force in Ukraine that vehicles must comply with an environmental standard of at least "Euro 4". Registration with the State Automobile Inspectorate of vehicles, both new and used, with engines that do not meet these standards will be impossible.
Most Ukrainian oil refineries have already carried out modernization and are ready to produce fuel of higher standards. In particular, the Kremenchuk, Lysychansk, and Odesa plants are capable of producing fuel that meets the requirements of "Euro 4" and "Euro 5".
The fact that the validity of the "Euro 3" standard was extended indicates that the issue of fuel quality at domestic gas stations still remains unresolved.
