Journalists of "Vesti" have compiled a selection of the most absurd explanations that car owners gave to insurance companies trying to justify their accidents. The most curious cases are in our review.

Wild boars as material evidence
A Land Rover SUV hit two wild boars that were crossing the road on the Zhytomyr highway. The animals died on the spot, but the car received serious damage: the bumper, front panel, and steering were affected. The driver brought one of the boars with him to confirm his version of what happened, while the second, apparently, was used to cook shashlik.

A snowdrift became the culprit of the accident
After a long clarification of the circumstances, it was possible to reconstruct the picture of the incident: the owner of a car covered with snow wanted to move it to a cleared place where he planned to remove snow from the car. However, this maneuver ended with him crashing into the policyholder's car.

Filing an accident report led to a new accident
A car collided with a patrol car of the State Automobile Inspection, whose crew was at that moment processing another traffic accident. To document this new accident, another traffic police crew had to be called to the scene.

A VAZ chose a pole instead of participating in the showdown
A Lexus, after being hit by an Infiniti, also grazed a Mercedes-Benz. The driver of a VAZ, who happened to be at the same intersection, decided not to take risks and drove into a lamppost to avoid being blamed in this situation.

A grandmother without reflectors
The driver who hit a woman on a bicycle stated in his explanation that she had no reflective elements.

"And who allowed them to drive here?" — about trains
A driver contacted the insurance company with a claim about a collision with a train. He insisted on his innocence, as his car was parked at the time of the accident. When asked a clarifying question whether the car was on the railway tracks, the annoyed driver exclaimed: "And why are they driving here?"

Too many signs
A young female driver reported to the insurance company that she crashed into a road sign. When asked which sign she hit, the girl could not answer, explaining that there were too many of them.
