Where exactly the prime minister gets such figures remains a mystery, but government plans include achieving an annual output of domestic cars at the level of 735 thousand units. At the same time, the share of Ukrainian cars in the total volume of domestic sales should be 70 percent. Part of the produced cars is planned to be exported — about 220 thousand units.

But what is even more curious is that budget funds in the amount of 35 billion hryvnias are planned to develop and put on the assembly line a Ukrainian car. Such steps, according to the plan, should ensure the creation of about 175.8 thousand jobs, and by 2020 they generally promise almost a heavenly life in a single country.

If we look at the facts, in the successful year of 2008, only about 600 thousand cars were sold in Ukraine, and in 2013, about 45 thousand locally produced cars were assembled. Against this background, the authorities' plans look somewhat overstated.
