The new Toyota Crown Vellfire is a more prestigious modification of the Alphard minivan. The main difference from the base model is the expressive front bumper and aggressive optics.
The interior uses natural leather and wood inserts. The cabin is designed for seven passengers, with two separate seats in the second row featuring electric adjustments, ventilation and massage functions, as well as retractable footrests. The standard equipment of the Toyota Crown Vellfire includes a three-zone climate control, automatic braking, and a lane-keeping assist system.
Under the hood, the minivan only has a hybrid powertrain: a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor together produce 197 horsepower. The unit works in conjunction with a continuously variable transmission, and an all-wheel drive system is available for an additional cost.
It is worth noting that the Toyota Crown Vellfire is far from the most expensive minivan on the market. It has a more luxurious relative — Lexus LM, which is also built on the Alphard platform and is priced at $214,000. Both cars are assembled at the GAC-Toyota joint venture in China.
