The new Suzuki Jimny is camouflaged, but it is obvious to the naked eye that it is longer than the standard model. According to preliminary data, the SUV will grow by about 35 cm – up to 4 m in length with a wheelbase of 2.5 m. Otherwise, the new version is no different from the three-door variant.

The increased dimensions will allow for more interior space and a larger trunk. Thus, the new Suzuki Jimny with five doors could appeal to family buyers.
Production of the extended Suzuki Jimny is planned to be set up in India, not only for the local market but also for export. It is known that the car will retain the 1.5-liter 102-horsepower gasoline engine and all-wheel drive.

However, the appearance of another engine is not ruled out. The fact is that Suzuki Jimny tests are being conducted in the European Union (the prototypes have Austrian license plates), and there the 1.5-liter four-cylinder has been banned due to strict eco-standards.
The Japanese manufacturer even had to suspend sales of the SUV and leave only its commercial version in the lineup. It is quite possible that Suzuki is preparing the Jimny's return to the European market with a new engine.
