The car was named after the rally version of the Porsche 911, created in the 70s. By the way, at one time the 911 even won the Paris-Dakar rally.
The new Porsche 911 Safari differs from the standard model primarily in its increased ground clearance. In addition, it has widened fenders, a redesigned rear bumper, and a higher tire profile.
Obviously, the Porsche 911 Safari will be all-wheel drive and with the powertrain from the 911 Carrera 4S. That is, the coupe will retain the 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-six engine with 450 hp and a dual-clutch transmission.
