The flat engine with two turbochargers, familiar from the previous generation, now develops 580 horsepower — 40 more than before. Torque has increased by 40 Nm to 750 Nm. The engine works with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the drive is all-wheel drive.
The new Porsche 911 Turbo accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than its predecessor. The convertible takes a tenth of a second longer for this exercise. The top speed of both versions is the same — electronics limit it to 320 km/h.
The model is equipped with a chassis with rear-axle steering and adaptive PASM suspension with electronically controlled dampers. For an additional cost, a retuned sports suspension that lowers ride height by 10 mm, ceramic brakes, and a sports exhaust system are offered.
Sales of the new model have already started in Europe. The coupe starts at 180,111 euros, the convertible at 194,035 euros.
