The new IS is built on the same platform, but has grown slightly in dimensions — 30 mm in length and width, and 5 mm in height. The wheelbase remains the same at 2800 mm. Standard wheels are now 18-inch, with 19-inch options available as an option.

The main interior innovation is a new touchpad on the center tunnel, as well as a 10.3-inch screen for the upgraded multimedia system (8-inch in base). Additionally, a 1800-watt Mark Levinson audio system with 17 speakers can be ordered.

The sedan received a significantly revised suspension and new shock absorbers. The engine lineup remains unchanged and still includes a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 244 hp and a 3.5 V6 with 264 hp or 315 hp.

Sales of the new Lexus IS start this fall. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed pricing.
