The new compact crossover is expected to cost less than the Toyota C-HR, and its length will be just over four meters.
The subcompact SUV will be based on the GA-B platform, which is the most compact version of the global TNGA architecture. This means that the closest "relative" of the new model will be the current Toyota Yaris hatchback. In a conversation with AutoExpress, Matt Harrison made it clear that, unlike the stylish C-HR, the new model will be conceived as a utilitarian and affordable cross-hatch.
Most likely, technically the new car will be closely related to the fourth-generation Yaris. From the hatchback, the crossover will receive not only the chassis, but also a range of engines, a multimedia system with a 10-inch screen, as well as a similar interior design.
It is quite possible that the new model will get its own body and original name, and all-wheel drive will be offered as an option — such a transmission has already been tested on the "hot" Yaris.
