The new models can be distinguished from the standard Q3 and Q3 Sportback by a more aggressive front bumper, enlarged air intakes, and a modified black radiator grille with a honeycomb pattern. In addition, extended wheel arches and a new spoiler have appeared.

The new Audi RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback are equipped with a significantly modernized 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine, which has become 26 kg lighter than the previous unit. In particular, engineers used an aluminum crankcase, a lightweight crankshaft, and other new parts.

The unit, working in tandem with a seven-speed dual-clutch robot and all-wheel drive, develops 400 hp and 480 Nm of torque, which is 60 hp more than the output of the previous-generation Audi RS Q3 engine. The engine allows the crossovers to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (optionally, the electronic "collar" can be moved to 280 km/h).

The new model features a modernized suspension with sporty settings and a reduced ground clearance of 10 mm, improved steering, and six-piston front brake mechanisms with 375-mm steel discs. Carbon discs with aluminum calipers are available for an additional charge.
In Europe, the new Audi RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback will be available for order in October, with the first cars reaching customers in late 2019 or early 2020. In Germany, prices for the new model start at 63,500 euros.
