The crossover can be distinguished from its predecessor by a radiator grille with a different pattern, reshaped lower air intakes, different exterior mirror housings, and a new rear spoiler.
The Cadillac XT5 will be offered with an improved CUE infotainment system that can be controlled using a new round controller. The rear row of seats, which slide back by 140 millimeters, has been modified. In addition, a Bose audio system with 14 speakers has become available.
The Cadillac XT5 for China is equipped with a new two-liter turbo engine from the "younger" X4 model, on which the unit produces 237 hp and 350 N·m of torque. The engine works in conjunction with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The company noted that the crossover received 14 upgraded active and passive safety systems. This includes an improved automatic emergency braking function capable of detecting objects at a distance of up to 60 meters from the vehicle.
