The new Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is aimed at competing with the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63. Under the hood of the sedan is a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 472 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and the top speed reaches 304 km/h.
In turn, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will compete with the Audi RS7, BMW M5, and Mercedes-AMG E63. The powertrain is a 6.2-liter V8 with a supercharger, familiar from the previous generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
This engine develops 668 hp and 893 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km/h for such a Cadillac takes 3.7 seconds, and the speed ceiling exceeds 320 km/h.
Both models have rear-wheel drive, with a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission offered. The Blackwing equipment includes adaptive magnetorheological dampers, a self-locking differential, and Brembo brakes — for the CT5-V, ceramic discs are optionally available.
Externally, the new Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing differ in aerodynamic body kit, enlarged front air intakes, and a spoiler on the trunk lid. The CT4-V Blackwing is equipped with 18-inch forged wheels, while the CT5-V gets 19-inch wheels.
Inside, sport seats and a steering wheel are installed, and the design of the virtual instrument panel is changed. In the interior trim, leather can be combined with carbon and Alcantara.
