The front part of the body is borrowed from the five-door AMG version, which is expressed in enlarged air intakes and a splitter. The rear is styled in the spirit of the current CLS: there is an expressive diffuser and twin exhaust pipes.
The engine range is represented by a two-liter turbocharged unit with an output of 306 hp and 400 Nm. The transmission is a seven-speed "robot" with two clutches, working in conjunction with all-wheel drive. In normal mode, power goes to the front axle, but if necessary, the system can redistribute traction between the axles in a 50:50 ratio.
Thanks to the Race Start function, the sedan reaches the first "hundred" in 4.8 seconds, which is a tenth of a second slower than the hot hatch. The maximum speed, as usual, is limited by electronics to 250 km/h.
The arsenal of control electronics includes five driving modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. The first is focused on safe movement on slippery surfaces: the system cuts power and torque, and the gearbox switches to early gears. Adaptive dampers are available for an additional cost.
The start date of sales and the price tag for the Mercedes-AMG A35 Sedan are still kept secret. According to preliminary data, deliveries of the "charged" sedan will begin closer to the end of the year.
