Photos of the sporty crossover were published by AutoExpress. According to the publication, the car will get the SVR suffix in its name and will go on sale in Europe before the end of this year. The main competitors of the car are called BMW X6 M and Porsche Macan Turbo.
The car will get aggressive bumpers, a splitter, large air intakes, and a sport exhaust system with four tailpipes. In addition, the new model will be equipped with different alloy wheels and a new diffuser.
All technical details about the new model are still kept secret. According to unofficial data, the new model will get a 5.0-liter petrol engine. The power of the unit will be 550 horsepower. With such an engine, the crossover will accelerate to 100 km/h in 4 seconds. Engineers will also work on reducing the weight of the car. It is expected that the mass of the sporty Velar will not exceed 1800 kilograms. The car will also get a recalibrated chassis and a new air suspension.
