After the generation change, the Jimny retained its angular body shapes, round headlights, and the characteristic radiator grille. At the same time, the SUV differs from its predecessor with shorter front and rear overhangs.
The SUV features a ladder-frame construction, a three-link rigid suspension, as well as plug-in all-wheel drive and a transfer case with a low-range gear.
The new Suzuki Jimny will be offered in Japan with a 660-cc engine producing 54 hp, as well as with a 1.5-liter engine. The units are paired with a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
The equipment list will include cruise control, push-button engine start, a multifunction steering wheel, air conditioning, as well as an automatic emergency braking system.
