The powertrain produces 306 horsepower and 700 newton-meters of torque. With this engine, the Discovery reaches 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The new engine also allows towing a trailer weighing up to 3.5 tons.
In addition, the SUV is now better protected thanks to the Clear Exit Monitor technology. It alerts the driver and passengers about approaching cars, bicycles, and other objects when they are about to leave the cabin.
Adaptive cruise control, in turn, has gained a Stop & Go mode. It maintains the set speed or adjusts it to maintain the required distance to the vehicle ahead. Moreover, the system can stop the Discovery before a traffic jam and then resume driving on its own.
