Earlier, the manufacturer approved the name for the new electric car — Taycan. This name translates as "young stallion full of energy."
The concept car that preceded the production version and bore the name Mission E debuted in 2016 at the Paris Motor Show. The prototype was equipped with two electric motors, placed at the front and rear. The total power of the powertrain exceeds 600 horsepower, allowing the car to reach 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
The range without recharging was about 500 kilometers according to the European NEDC cycle. Using a fast charging station, you can replenish the battery energy to 80% in about thirty minutes.
