Externally, the hybrid XC40 can only be distinguished by the flap hiding the charging port on the front fender. Inside, changes are noticeable only in the design of the instrument panel.
The hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-liter turbo engine and an electric motor, which together produce 250 hp and 400 Nm. The transmission is a 7-speed automatic. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed fuel consumption and performance data.
Sales of the Volvo XC40 T5 Twin Engine crossover will begin no earlier than next year. Prices for the model have not yet been announced.
