The Kamiq is a more budget-friendly version of the Karoq crossover, which is sold in China in a stretched version.

Unlike the Karoq, the Kamiq is built on the older PQ25 platform with a semi-independent rear suspension and is offered with a less rich level of equipment. The Kamiq does not get a digital instrument cluster, LED headlights, panoramic roof, all-wheel drive, and many other options.

In the range of engines and transmissions, there are no turbo engines or "robots". The Kamiq is available only with a 1.5-liter MPI engine with 110 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual or a conventional 6-speed automatic.

Unfortunately, Skoda does not yet plan to bring the Kamiq beyond the Chinese market, although our car enthusiasts would definitely appreciate this inexpensive crossover (approximately 15-16 thousand dollars) with a low-maintenance engine and a reliable automatic transmission.
