The Kona Electric debuted in two versions at once and differs from the Kona with an internal combustion engine in its redesigned front end and an enlarged center tunnel in the cabin.

The base version is equipped with an electric motor producing 135 hp (99 kW) and 395 Nm of torque. The traction battery has a capacity of 39.2 kWh and provides a 300-kilometer range. The maximum speed of the base version of the electric car is 167 km/h, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes 9.3 seconds.

The more powerful modification delivers 204 hp (150 kW) and 395 Nm, and the battery capacity is increased to 64 kWh. On a single charge, this version of the Kona can travel 470 km, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes only 6.7 seconds.
Using fast charging, you can replenish the battery charge to 80% in 54 minutes. Restoring the full battery charge will take from 6 to 9 hours depending on the version.
The premiere of the Hyundai Kona Electric will take place at the Geneva Motor Show. The manufacturer has not yet published prices for the model.
