Fiat Chrysler Automobiles concern plans to get rid of all diesel modifications in the model lines of its brands by 2022.
Currently, FCA produces two dozen different vehicles with diesel powertrains, ranging from the small Fiat 500 to the sports sedan Maserati Quattroporte (pictured).
Obviously, the key factor for such a step was "dieselgate," which also affected the models of the Italo-American alliance in a number of countries, including the United States.
Instead of diesel units, the company will focus on producing hybrids and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
