The design of the seven-seat Grand Commander crossover clearly echoes the appearance of the Yuntu concept car, presented last spring in Shanghai.

The Grand Commander clearly does not qualify for the role of a new flagship, as it is inferior to the Grand Cherokee model in almost all dimensions: length – 4873 mm (+45), width – 1892 (-51), height – 1738 (-64), wheelbase – 2800 mm (-115).

Initially, the crossover will be offered with only one two-liter turbo engine, but in two power variants – 234 and 265 hp. The transmission is a 9-speed automatic.

Production of the Jeep Grand Commander will be established at the Chinese plant in the city of Changsha. The model's release beyond the Chinese market is not yet being considered.
