The second generation XF Sportbrake has slightly increased in width (+110 mm) and height (+36 mm), but has become 10 mm shorter (4955). At the same time, the wheelbase, on the contrary, has grown by 51 mm (2960 mm). The luggage compartment volume has increased to 565 liters (+15 l).

In the cabin, attention is drawn to the virtual instrument panel and the 10-inch InControl Touch Pro media center screen.

In addition, the new station wagon boasts a huge panoramic roof with an area of 1.6 m² and rear air suspension, which is not available for the sedan.

The XF Sportbrake engine lineup includes three versions of the two-liter Ingenium diesel engine with power from 163 to 240 hp, and a 300-horsepower V6 diesel with a volume of 3 liters. Also available are two gasoline turbo units producing 250 and 380 hp.

All versions except the least powerful are equipped by default with an 8-speed automatic transmission. In addition to rear-wheel drive modifications, customers can also order the station wagon with an all-wheel drive system.
