The new interior still looks quite strict. The upgraded multimedia system has acquired an 8-inch screen and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link services. Among the options, adaptive cruise control, wireless smartphone charging, a 300-watt Beatsaudio audio system and many other useful things have appeared.

The engine lineup of the model consists of two versions of the liter turbo engine TSI with 95 or 115 hp, as well as a diesel power unit with a volume of 1.6 liters in three modifications with power from 80 to 115 hp. Later, a version running on compressed gas will appear, and closer to 2018, a 1.5-liter TSI with 150 hp will be added.

The gearboxes remain the same: five- and six-speed manual, as well as a 7-speed DSG robot.

The public debut of the fifth generation Seat Ibiza will take place in the spring at the Geneva Motor Show.
