The front hubs of the Niva now feature a more wear-resistant bearing that does not require regular adjustment. This necessitated a change in the design of the steering knuckle, which in turn reduced the vehicle's tendency to deviate from its course during braking.
In addition, the SUV has been equipped with new gas-filled shock absorbers, which should have a positive effect on handling, and has also received a separate mounting for the front axle reduction gear, making vibrations less noticeable.
