The restyled version received a new front-end design in the spirit of Model X and Model 3, and also acquired adaptive LED headlights and the latest air purification system.
The latter is capable of creating an almost mountain climate with the purest air in the cabin. For this, a giant cabin HEPA filter is used, capable of disinfecting the air by 99.97% - no bacteria or allergens. According to the manufacturer, such a filter is 300 times more effective in protecting against bacteria and 700 and 800 times more effective in dealing with smog and viruses.
Also, the Model S received an improved charger that allows restoring battery charge even faster. The options list now includes ventilated seats (like on the Model X) and several types of wood interior trim.
Earlier there were rumors that the new model would get more capacious batteries, but it seems these were just rumors. As before, the top version is the P90D with two electric motors with a total output of 762 hp. Acceleration to 96 kilometers per hour is 2.8 seconds. Without recharging, this version can travel more than 500 kilometers. As for the cost, the updated Tesla has become more expensive by $1,500.
