We have already written that the Chinese manufacturer presented to the public the electric car Youxia X, which many immediately called a clone of the Tesla Model S. Let us remind you, Youxia X is an electric supercar with 348 hp and a range of up to 460 km.

The first thing to understand when studying the authenticity of Youxia X is who created it. It turns out that the creator company has a backstory, but it is not entirely good. Youxia Motors slightly deceived their investors. Two years ago, Youxia Motors attracted venture capital to design a sports electric car. A year later, they built a prototype based on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The sample helped attract additional investment, and after that - it sank into oblivion.

The money was used somewhat differently. What greatly surprised and even angered investors - instead of continuing the development of the prototype, they were presented with the Youxia X.

What exactly did the investors not like? They did not like that the funds were spent on purchasing a Tesla Model S. The car was officially purchased from a Tesla dealership. After that, it was disassembled and studied in detail. This data was then used in the design of the new car. The main thing is that the company does not even hide it.

In one of the interviews, the founder of Youxia Motors, Huang Xiuyuan, said literally the following: "The Tesla chassis is still at our factory."

Further, in the same interview, Huang began to say that in fact the engine and transmission differ from the original Tesla. But, as journalists immediately noted, his words may not be true because Youxia Motors carefully hides data about the powertrain and transmission.

After questions about why the wheelbase and track width are almost identical to the Tesla Model S, Huang avoided answering and began to name completely different car brands that allegedly served as the prototype for the Youxia. The constant contradictions of Youxia Motors representatives in the information provided further convince journalists that most of the solutions were simply "copied" from the original Tesla. Especially since open patents from the American company are still used in the Youxia. The Chinese comrades do not hide this either.

Even on their website, the text reads: "Thank you Tesla for open patents." This policy of the Americans is intended to help the development of electric vehicle manufacturing worldwide. It seems that Youxia is one of the first companies to take advantage of Tesla's virtue...
