The first image of the updated Toyota Land Cruiser SUV has been published online. Let us remind you that the official premiere of the new model was expected no earlier than August 2015.
Judging by the photo, the SUV will remain true to its conservative design, and the external differences will be noticeable perhaps only to a discerning reader or the owner of the pre-restyling version. So what has changed in the car's appearance? It has changed, albeit slightly: the front optics, the shape of the bumpers and side mirrors.

As our Japanese colleagues report, in addition to external changes, the car should receive new electronic assistants, including a radar for detecting pedestrians, a collision prevention system, and a lane keeping system.
In the Land Cruiser engine lineup, a new diesel "four" with a displacement of only 2.8 liters will appear, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. And the currently popular 4.5-liter diesel will remain in the engine lineup only for the top trim level.
Let us remind you that the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 appeared in 2008. Until today, it has undergone only one update, which took place in 2011. The current car is sold with a 4.6-liter gasoline V8 (power – 309 hp) and a diesel 235-horsepower engine. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic. Production is established at the company's facilities in Japan.
