However, the most notable premiere was still the small crossover Peugeot 2008, belonging to the B-class. It is based on the platform of the 208 hatchback, but the dimensions of the new model are significantly increased. Under the hood of the Peugeot 2008 can be gasoline engines with a volume of 1.2 liters (82 hp) or 1.6 liters (120 hp).
The set of available gearboxes surprises with its diversity: there is a manual transmission, a robotic transmission, and a traditional automatic. The price range of the Peugeot 2008 extends from 161.9 to 213.3 thousand hryvnias — it all depends on the chosen equipment. For the current year, it is planned to sell more than 500 such cars.
Another curious model was the Peugeot 508 RXH crossover. Thanks to the diesel-electric power plant, it allows significant fuel savings and causes minimal damage to the environment.
Unfortunately, the environmental friendliness of this car in our realities does not provide any advantages, but significantly increases its final cost. The starting price of the Peugeot 508 RXH is 473,900 hryvnias. Unsurprisingly, the company expects to sell only 30 such units in Ukraine per year.
But for the third new model — the updated Peugeot 3008 — the plans are much more ambitious: at least 500 sold cars. This urban crossover has become noticeably better in all respects, while its price has practically not changed. The starting price of the Peugeot 3008 is from 206,700 hryvnias.
Peugeot does not intend to stop there and promises to present three more new models during 2014. In April, sales of the charged version RCZ-R will begin, the price of which starts from 466 thousand hryvnias. Starting from May, the 4008 crossover will be offered exclusively with a Peugeot diesel engine. And in autumn, the public will be shown the new 308 hatchback.
