The dealer center "Auto Ganza" has announced the Volkswagen Amarok pickup in a "military" modification, built on the basis of the production model with the use of standard accessories. The company expects that such vehicles will be in demand among military structures, rescue services, and other organizations whose activities are associated with severe operating conditions. Compared to the regular Amarok, the Military version received ground clearance increased from 249 to 400 millimeters, 16-inch off-road tires, matte camouflage body paint, reinforced bumpers, additional mounts for special signals, and a reinforced chassis. The pickup was also equipped with a modified tow hitch, allowing to tow a trailer weighing up to 2.8 tons. For the Amarok, two types of coupling devices will be offered — a NATO standard hook or a ball coupling.
The list of options for such a vehicle will include a roof beacon, blackout lights, a sliding loading platform in the cargo compartment, a winch, a radio, a holder for hunting weapons, as well as a canopy or a hard top. All additions are either taken from the ready assortment of various manufacturers or created to individual orders (for example, an external bracket for a spare wheel).
The VW Amarok Military can be ordered with two-liter diesel engines producing 122 and 163 horsepower, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and plug-in all-wheel drive.
The final cost of the vehicle will be determined by the price of the base pickup plus the sum of the selected options.
