The North American version of the "Cinquecento" differs noticeably from the one sold in Europe. Thus, for the US market, the Fiat 500 received a softer, more comfortable suspension, a reinforced body, and reduced noise and vibration levels. In addition, in the American version, the hatchback will have a different interior and an enlarged fuel tank.

Under the hood, there is only one option: a 1.4-liter gasoline engine from the MultiAir series with 102 horsepower. But unlike the European version with a single-clutch "robot," in the US, buyers will also be offered a classic "automatic" in addition to the manual gearbox.

Sales of the Fiat 500 in the States will start in the spring, with a starting price of $15,500, which is $4,600 cheaper than the base version of the Mini Cooper. At the same time, the first batch of 500 cars in the special Prima Edizione version, released in honor of the Italian compact car's entry into the American market, was completely sold out at the end of September in just an hour and a half.

Later, a "hot" modification of the Fiat 500, the Abarth, will appear in America, with a 160-horsepower turbo engine with a displacement of 1.4 liters under the hood.
