As planned, the Chery M-11 sedan and hatchback began appearing at dealers of the brand's official importer in Ukraine — the company 'Si Ei Automotive', part of 'UkrAVTO' — back in mid-November.
Judging by the number of calls to the call center, the model was indeed awaited in Ukraine. And, if you think about it, the Chery M-11 fully deserves such attention. For a long time, buyers have wanted to see in a car not just a means of transportation, but something more — an emotion. Thanks to the work of the famous European studio Pininfarina, the car has received a recognizable design. The model's appearance has already been awarded in China, where it leads sales ratings. The car's individual look will likely appeal to those who do not cling to outdated stereotypes and are ready to step with the M-11 to a new level.
The expressive and dynamic design of the body and interior is far from the only thing the new model can boast of. The suspension was developed and tuned by the British company MIRA, whose services have been used by leading European manufacturers for several decades. Unsurprisingly, this had a positive effect on handling and road behavior. Many technical solutions offered by the Chery M-11 are seen for the first time in this price segment. At the front — MacPherson, at the rear — independent multi-link suspension, disc brakes on both axles, ventilated at the front, electric power steering — all this is usually found in more expensive cars. The model is offered with an ACTECO family engine meeting Euro-4 standards, with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 119 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual. The peak torque of 147 Nm is achieved already at 4300 rpm. It is worth noting that the engine is tuned to provide decent dynamics while not harming the environment.
Such an important aspect as safety has not been overlooked either. Five stars in C-NCAP crash tests confirmed that the model meets the strictest requirements. When creating the car, the manufacturer took care of both the driver and passengers, including the smallest ones. Protection in an accident is provided by high-strength steel of the body and the energy-absorbing structure of the cabin cell, which folds according to specially calculated zones, leaving maximum free space inside. Already in the basic configuration there are ABS and brake force distribution system, airbags for the driver and front passenger, three-point seat belts with pretensioners and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Comfort in the cabin — air conditioning, power windows and a CD player with USB port — is also included in standard equipment.
