The plans include allowing veterans who have become persons with disabilities due to injuries sustained at the front to arrange the import of one passenger car without paying customs duties and other mandatory payments.
Recall that in 2022, preferential customs clearance was in effect for all citizens, but it was canceled just a few months later. The reason was the authorities' desire to replenish the state treasury, as revenues from taxes on imported cars form a significant share of budget income.
If the bill is adopted and signed by the president, veterans with disabilities will receive the right to such a one-time benefit — free customs clearance of one vehicle.
