The French specialized publication L'argus has shared information about the automaker's intention to discontinue the most affordable modification of Sandero on the European market. Since Logan is a sibling to the hatchback, it faces a similar fate.

The essence of the situation is this: for the Sandero, three trim levels are provided — Access, Essential, and Comfort. And now, it is the base version Sandero Access that will be cut. In Europe, such a car costs almost 9,000 euros. Logan Access, by the way, is priced at approximately the same amount.

The abandonment of this version is explained by the fact that, despite the attractive price, the equipment of the base Sandero is extremely modest. This is also indicated by sales statistics — the Sandero Access is not in demand (it accounts for only 3% of the total sales volume of the model, while the top Comfort trim accounts for as much as 85%).

In essence, buyers are not eager to purchase a car without air conditioning, power windows, and an audio system, additionally with unpainted bumpers (as well as door handles and mirror housings) and on steel wheels. The situation is aggravated by the low-power engine — a 1.0-liter three-cylinder unit producing 66 hp and 95 Nm (it is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission).

If the "bare" Sandero Access indeed retires, only the well-equipped Essential and Comfort will remain in the lineup. But their starting price is higher — about 10 thousand euros.

However, Ukrainian car enthusiasts have no reason to panic. As can be seen, we are talking about European cars, where Sandero and Logan are sold under the Dacia brand. Under the Renault brand, the third-generation Sandero and Logan have not yet appeared, so we still sell second-generation models.
