The publication's staff noted that the stability control system reacts with a delay, and they do not recommend purchasing this vehicle.

The "moose test" is a check of the car's stability during an emergency maneuver simulating an avoidance of a sudden obstacle. As the reviewers noted, the behavior of the Toyota RAV4 in these runs was unstable: the SUV either went into lateral sliding or lifted on the outer side of the wheels, making it extremely difficult to control. The maximum speed the testers managed to reach was only 68 km/h, as further increasing the pace only worsened handling. Two examples equipped with hybrid engines were used in the tests.

For reference: the Nissan Qashqai passes the same test at 84 km/h without hitting a single cone, while the larger and heavier Kia Sorento handles the task at 78 km/h. The publication Teknikens Värld also reminds that Toyota has had similar incidents before: during tests of the Hilux model in 2007 and 2016, journalists nearly managed to roll over the pickup.
