It is not surprising that all the names of units and assemblies are transferred to the Spanish version of the German model unchanged — whether it is TDI and TSI engines or Multitronic gearboxes.

Until recently, all seven engines available for the Seat Exeo were paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual, with one exception: the 200-horsepower 2.0 TSI petrol engine was offered only with the Multitronic CVT. Now the continuously variable transmission has also appeared for the 2.0-liter TDI turbodiesel with 143 horsepower as an option. Such cars will additionally receive paddle shifters for switching seven virtual gears.

After this update, the Seat Exeo Multitronic 2.0 TDI sedan accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds, and the five-door Exeo ST in 9.6 seconds. The top speed of the four-door version with the CVT reaches 208 kilometers per hour, while the heavier station wagon accelerates to 201 kilometers per hour. Both modifications consume 5.8 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle.
