According to CBS WYMT, local residents often used this intersection – about 4,000 cars passed through it per day. But after the ordinary crossroads where four directions converged was converted into a roundabout due to constant accidents, drivers were confused. In the US, roundabouts are not common – there are about 7,100 of them across the country. Therefore, many Americans either do not know or have forgotten how to properly drive on such a ring. However, perhaps it is just a matter of habit.
As can be seen in the video below, at the new intersection motorists created complete chaos. Instead of turning right, going around the circle and then choosing the desired direction, they began to cut the corner and went left, driving into the oncoming lane. Only a few drove correctly – apparently, those who remembered the traffic rules.
