The debut of the new model will take place at the Detroit Motor Show, which will open its doors on January 12. The new model is built on the basis of the S60 sedan and features an increased ground clearance of 65 mm (up to 201 mm), as well as a protective body kit made of dark plastic - overlays on the bumpers, wheel arches and body sills.

Like the new V60 Cross Country wagon, the crossover sedan will likely be equipped with front and all-wheel drive based on the Haldex coupling, as well as 18- or 19-inch wheels with high-profile tires.

The engine range of the new model will include three units: a turbocharged gasoline V4 with 254 (or 249) hp, as well as two turbocharged diesels - a four-cylinder Drive-E with 187 hp (in front-wheel drive version) and a 2.4-liter five-cylinder engine.

The market launch of the S60 Cross Country is scheduled for the summer of this year.
