In April, the new passenger car market showed positive dynamics for the first time: its share grew by 7.5% compared to the same period last year, and by 18% relative to March. Thus, the industry is gradually recovering after a prolonged downturn and returning to growth.
Dealer network representatives note that among the leaders there have been no significant changes — the top positions are still held by Toyota, Renault, and Skoda. However, a notable event was the entry of two Chinese manufacturers into the top ten, indicating a shift in the priorities of domestic car owners. The luxury segment was also active: Land Rover significantly increased sales volumes and came close to third place among premium brands.
During April, the country's car dealerships sold over 6,000 new cars. This result is significant against the backdrop of the difficulties the industry faces in the third year of the full-scale war — logistical disruptions, supply challenges, and reduced purchasing power of buyers.
Analysts also expect significant changes in the electric car market in 2025: dealer companies are already actively working on development plans for this segment.
