The most noticeable sales growth was demonstrated by Tesla, whose base Model 3 provided the main demand. In July, the brand's sales jumped by 435.9% compared to the same month a year earlier, and over the first seven months, growth amounted to 143.4%. However, Tesla is still not listed among the leading US automakers.

Meanwhile, six brands in the top ten for January-July saw a decline in sales.

Ford, which traditionally tops the ranking, lost 1.6% over seven months, selling 1.4 million vehicles.

Honda, holding the fourth position, showed a drop of 1.7% to 840,500 cars.

Nissan, which took the fifth spot with a result of 807,500 vehicles, reduced sales by 6%.

Hyundai, KIA, and GMC, closing the TOP-10, demonstrated declines of 2.6%, 1.5%, and 0.4%, respectively.

Jeep, in sixth place, shows the most positive dynamics among the leaders: over seven months of 2018, its sales increased by almost 21%, reaching 574,900 vehicles.

The leader in popularity in the US remains the Ford F-Series pickup. In July, its sales grew by 2.1% to 70,949 units, and since the beginning of the year, over 522,000 buyers have chosen this vehicle, which is almost 5% more than in the same period last year.
